Vietnamese Iced Coffee (Cà Phê Sữa Đá)
Bold, dark Vietnamese coffee dripped slowly over sweetened condensed milk and poured over ice. Strong, sweet, and addictive.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons coarsely ground Vietnamese coffee (or dark French roast)
- 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
- Hot water
- Ice cubes

Add condensed milk to a tall glass.

Place a Vietnamese phin filter on top of the glass. Add coffee grounds, press lightly with the filter insert.

Pour 2 tablespoons of just-boiled water over the grounds. Wait 30 seconds (the grounds will bloom).

Fill the filter with hot water to the top. Let it drip slowly through the condensed milk, about 4-5 minutes.

Stir to combine the coffee and condensed milk. Pour over a glass full of ice. Stir again before drinking.
